LZ Lambeau May 22, 2010

Welcome Home.  A collection of photos from LZ Lambeau, a weekend-long gathering in Green Bay to honor Wisconsin’s Vietnam Veterans and give them a long overdue  homecoming.  Exhibits by Wisconsin Public Television, Wisconsin Veterans Museum and other organizations were enhanced by the Veterans themselves viewing them and sharing the stories that shaped their lives. I feel very fortunate to have been part of this event, it was a remarkable experience not to be forgotten.

Faces in the Sand

Friday, May 1st, 2009

Sometimes the missing piece tells the whole story of a photo. The family portraits featured here were photographed for the Wisconsin Veterans Museum’s Faces in the Sand exhibit, each a similar story of loss and remembrance. The families are gathered around memorials to their loved ones—a son or daughter, a brother or sister, a friend—who were killed in action while serving in the current military conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

These families are amazing sources of inspiration, and I consider myself fortunate to have been invited to share in their love and loss.
